Our staff consists of Dr. Ronald A. Black, resident veterinarian, who has been at Prospect Animal Hospital since his graduation from the University of Illinois in 1974. In those 36 years he has seen many changes in veterinary medicine and always keeps current with new technology. In some cases, Dr. Black has seen several generations of clients and their pets.
Sue Walters was our veterinary technician and had worked with Dr. Black for the last 28 years until her untimely passing on March 16th, 2009 from complications from pneumonia. She will be missed by staff, clients, and pets deeply.
Amy Black is our receptionist, business manager, tech, and (also) Dr. Black's wife.
With such a small staff we find it possible to provide consistently personal care and a dedication not found at larger animal hospitals. You and your pet will see the same people each visit. We offer a continuity of care and assurance that nothing in your pet's medical history will be overlooked.
